Floral Decor in Victoria

One of the great joys of running Party Mood is providing floral decor in Victoria – I love, love, love using flowers and greenery in my designs, and of course, here on Vancouver Island, I have such lovely ‘green’ materials to work with.

Since we have new staff working with us this summer, and since everyone can always use a refresher, we recently invited Stephanie Hayes of Les Fleurs to advance our knowledge of wedding floral design. Stephanie also serves weddings and events in  Victoria, BC and the Cowichan Valley, and she does lovely work.

And thanks to Stephanie, we also got to make some lovely work! Using a colourful summer palette of pinks, oranges, yellows and greens, we created bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces and, my favourite, garlands.

Trust us – there’s no more fun way to spend a sunny morning in Victoria than by playing with buckets-full of beautiful flowers! Add in a great teacher who shared some new insights on floral decor, and a great group of women, and it was truly delightful.

Plus, we got to try out our designs using rentals from our Party Mood inventory, giving us lots of new ideas for the weddings and events we’ll be decorating this summer.

For example, pictured below are centerpieces we created with our NEW brass compote pots, our mercury glass compotes, and our naturally-shed antlers.
