The moon. It has enthralled night sky gazers for generations and influenced the ebb and flow of the tides since the beginning of time. We could think of no more beautifully fitting celestial centerpiece for our seaside Victoria beach wedding—so aptly celebrating the marriage of moon and water.
How We Created Our Modern Celestial Wedding.
Shimmering, iridescent color tones, the moon & cosmos, new-age geometrics—every design element artfully created by our favorite vendors or gathered from our exhaustive wedding rental inventory—all perfectly setting the stage for this heavenly seaside wedding.

Celebrating The Moon and Sea With A Modern Victoria Beach Wedding.
Perfect timing. A full moon was happy to add some real-life lunar authenticity to our modern celestial wedding. The monumental opal inspired full moon with its gold geometric pattern set a wonderful backdrop to the intimate ceremony site at the water’s edge.
A Celestial Color Palette.
A color palette predominated by shimmering, iridescent purple offset with blues and the modern sparkle of gold and copper tied the celestial to the seaside beautifully.
A Shimmering Sweetheart Table.
An iridescent table overlay added an effectively playful element to the sedate beach setting.
The orrery planet centerpiece added a whimsical element. The astrological drink glasses were customized to the couples personal zodiac signs.

An overhead tree provided framing and atmosphere, and an opportunity to hang the bride’s copper moon bouquet.
Long Guest Table at Water’s Edge.
The shape-shifting colour of the tablecloth presented a range of shimmering blues and purples. The prismatic cutlery took center stage beside carefully layered opaline plates. The place settings were tucked among floral adorned gold geometrics and mercury votive accents. Miniature geometric place card holders held watercolour place names.

Sharing An Intimate Moment.
An intimate beach-side moment between bride and groom on a found yellow chair is perfectly framed by a barnacle-encrusted driftwood post.
Culinary Creations That Celebrate The Cosmos.
Imaginative and original culinary creations reinforced the moon theme.
The wedding cake, which featured geometric sugar work with hand-painted gold edges, sat upon an iridescent pedestal rising above a swirling live floral art-piece designed to echo the cosmos themed wedding design.

Luminous and pearled purple toast drinks were a combination of sparkling water and Wilton Lustre Dust colours.
Perfectly Aligned Floral Design.
The floral creations for our Celestial Wedding celebration were each perfectly aligned with the feeling of the wedding style, carrying the design theme throughout the venue.
A hanging geometric garden swayed in the branches next to the saltwater pool. And, the onsite raw slate table provided an unorthodox yet fitting canvas for the floral art installation

Styling The Personal Details — Attire, Hair & Makeup, and Jewelry.
For the wedding dress, a modern two-piece offered a marriage of classic lace with a full hi-low skirt providing movement and shape, and mimicking waves.

The groom’s cream suit was selected to highlight a wider shoulder and relaxed trousers, reminiscent of the 80’s. Because of the informality of the beach setting, there was an intentional lack of tie with a focus on the box-shaped boutonniere.

Exaggerated pin curls created a fluid wave pattern ornamented with a raw prismatic quartz crown. Purple, teal and yellow eyeshadows with a matte lilac lip were chosen to create a punchy palette fitting to the avant-garde bride.

The groom’s ring was an infinite crescent moon pattern, while the bride’s ring set highlighted opal and sea-glass colours in a delicate setting. Prism earing studs and slender gold crescent moon necklace completed the look.

Luminous Wedding Stationery.
The shimmering wedding stationery suite design encompassed our celestial theme wonderfully with elements of water, moon, and geometric zodiac signs.
All The Wedding Day Details.
Card Station. A large glass orb with custom cut gold vinyl constellations, held cards for the couple, beneath a lightbox banner glowing with hyper-coloured phases of the moon.

Favours. Mini globe favours were stuffed with novel full moon candy bonbons.
Long Table Runner. Translucent table runners with gold foil imprinted geometrics allowed the natural wood tables to still be seen underneath the metal and floral décor.

Globe. A pearlescent veiled globe with a bold cheeky graphic “You Mean the World To Us” spoke to the non-traditional target couple.
Tea Time. Inspirational opaline tea setting with iridescent spoons and candies further cemented the quirky take on classic tea service at a wedding.
